One platform for maintenance, biomed, logistics, procurement and compliance, and what Assuta Medical Centers achieved when it replaced eight systems with it.
A hospital can run a world-class imaging department and still lose an hour looking for an infusion pump.
That gap between clinical excellence and day-to-day operations is where hospitals lose the most time and money. Systems that don’t talk to each other. Staff walking the wards on an “equipment hunt.” Faults reported by phone and tracked on paper. Maintenance that starts only after something breaks. And budgets that rise every year while nobody can say exactly where the money went.
Each of those problems lands on patients eventually, as a delayed procedure, a cancelled slot or a bed that sits empty because a part never arrived.
GIV-HEALTH™ was built to close that gap. Assuta Medical Centers, Israel’s largest private hospital network, has shown what it looks like across 15 medical centers.
GIV-HEALTH™ is a smart hospital management system powered by Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM). It runs the operational side of care: the equipment, buildings, supplies, teams and service contracts that keep wards and operating theatres working.
The system is modular. A hospital can start with maintenance and asset management, add modules as it goes, and configure each one to the way its own departments work. The core modules are:
| Operations | Patient transport, deliveries, events, projects and SLA tracking |
| Engineering | Infrastructure, energy and critical systems |
| Maintenance | Preventive and corrective maintenance, warranties and work orders |
| Biomed | Clinical and non-clinical equipment, biomedical devices and pharmaceutical assets |
| Logistics | Inventory, procurement, warehouse, waste and recycling |
| Compliance & safety | Accreditation, authorizations, regulation, safety and health |
All of it sits on a single asset register that covers six kinds of hospital assets: facilities, the environment of care, clinical equipment, patient care assets, IT assets and the vehicle fleet. A defibrillator, a chiller and an ambulance each get one record with one history.

Different people need different answers from the same data. The CEO wants cost and risk. The facilities manager wants to know which systems are close to failing. Biomed wants every critical device available and calibrated. The quality team wants proof for the next accreditation audit.
GIV-HEALTH™ gives each of them a view built from the same records. Operational BI dashboards track figures such as bed occupancy by department, operating room utilization, average wait times, maintenance cost per department, pending purchase requests and open faults on critical equipment. KPIs and alerts flag problems while they can still be fixed cheaply.

The platform connects to the systems a hospital already runs, including finance and ERP, staff and supplier portals, and mobile apps for technicians in the field. The Octave platform underneath it is built to strict US federal requirements for high availability and cybersecurity, which matters when the system is managing a hospital’s critical infrastructure.

Assuta’s Logistics Division was managing maintenance, logistics, procurement and assets for the whole network through eight separate information systems. Each one held part of the story. Fault reports were filled in on manual forms, technicians worked from generic task lists, and managers built their picture of operations from emails, spreadsheets and reports someone had to compile by hand.
Project ALPHA brought every process the Logistics Division runs onto one GIV-HEALTH™ platform. It is now live at about 15 Assuta medical centers. Around 200 managers, technicians and maintenance staff work in it daily, and roughly 10,000 employees, suppliers and contractors can open a service request through a digital portal.
Three changes made the biggest difference on the ground:
“We created a revolution in the logistics division. Alpha is an integrated operations and logistics platform for managing all of the logistics, procurement, and asset activities at Assuta Medical Centers. It is a platform that turned eight disconnected systems into a single platform, enabling a unified management view and a consistent, smart, and advanced organizational language.”
Alon Yosef, Director of Procurement, IT and Technology Projects, Assuta Medical Centers
Most system projects start with requirements documents. This one started on the hospital floor. Before development began, the project teams interviewed end users and watched how they actually worked, shift by shift.
That preparation paid off at go-live. Technicians already knew the system’s terminology and screens, and many recognized features that had come straight from their own requests. Adoption was fast, manual work dropped sharply, and the unofficial workarounds that usually survive a new system largely disappeared.
“This was not just a system implementation; it was the building of a new organizational language that connects the field with management. From enabling maintenance staff on mobile to 360-degree management dashboards, we created transparency, efficiency, and a direct improvement in safety and quality.”
Adi Neker, Project Manager, Information Systems, Assuta Medical Centers
ALPHA gave Assuta a reliable data foundation, refined processes and one standard way of working across the network. Assuta reports stronger service quality, safety and adherence to procedures. Just as important for the finance team, the project produced a measurable financial-efficiency plan built on real operational data.
In 2025 the project won the Computing Excellence Award in the Digital Transformation category, recognizing its contribution to digital transformation of operational management in healthcare.
“I congratulate Assuta and GIV’s professional team on the shared journey that led to this success and will continue to improve operations at Assuta. At GIV Solutions, we have set ourselves the goal of leading the field of smart information systems for operations and maintenance management in Israel and worldwide.”
Yossi Efrony, CEO, GIV Solutions
In a hospital, the first person to notice a broken device is rarely an engineer. It’s a nurse, a cleaner or a porter on the night shift. Assuta opened the service portal to 10,000 people and designed the screens around what technicians actually do. If reporting a fault takes two minutes, problems get reported while they’re still small.
A QR code sounds minor. In practice it removes the most common failure in hospital maintenance: a fault report that names the wrong device, or no device at all. When the report and the service history start from the equipment itself, every repair adds to a clean record.
Here is our view, and some in the industry will disagree: AI in hospital operations will stay stuck in pilot projects until the asset and maintenance data underneath it is complete and trustworthy. Predictive maintenance needs years of reliable work order history to predict anything. Assuta built that foundation first, and that is what makes condition-based and predictive maintenance a realistic next step rather than a slide in a strategy deck.
GIV Solutions is a Gold partner and exhibitor at HealthTech Forum 2026, held on 5–6 November at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest. Ramon Horkany of GIV Solutions will take part in the forum’s panel discussion.
This year’s HealthTech Forum focuses on smart hospitals and interoperability in public hospitals. The programme explores digital hospital operations, responsible health data management, the role of biomedical engineers, and whether hospitals that invest in digitalisation and automation should receive higher reimbursement rates for the care they deliver.
For GIV Solutions, these discussions raise a practical question: how can connected operational data help hospital teams coordinate their work, improve resource availability and identify avoidable costs? That is the perspective we look forward to bringing to the forum.
If you run, fund or modernize hospitals in Romania or elsewhere in the region, visit the GIV stand. We’ll show GIV-HEALTH™ live and walk you through how Assuta structured Project ALPHA.
