Romanian rail publication Club Feroviar has run a feature on GIV Solutions and GIV-RAIL™. It focuses on what rail operators need right now: more availability, safety and service quality, with costs held down across a large base of assets, systems and contractors.
GIV-RAIL™ handles rolling stock and infrastructure in one platform. That covers linear assets, stations, tunnels, signaling, maintenance, inventory, procurement, contractors, SLA/KPI tracking and mobile field work. It runs on Octave Attune EAM (formerly HxGN EAM) and connects with GIS, BIM/CAD, SCADA, IoT and BI, which makes condition-based and predictive maintenance possible.
In Romania, GIV won the tender for the digital maintenance management platform for the CFR Călători fleet and is delivering it with Orange Romania. The project links more than ten systems, including real-time diagnostics from five rolling stock manufacturers.
The article also covers GIV’s work at Israel Railways, where a 30-year-old legacy system was replaced with zero downtime, and at the NTA Red Line in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Light Rail.
